Parents Advice
- Create a team.Every parent does not provide successful education for a child with a teacher, speech therapist, audiologist, labor therapist, etc. Without cooperation. Share their resources and information and make them memorable.
Prepare a handbook. Prepare “special instructions” for the teacher. Explain the types of hearing loss, terminology, technology and classroom arrangement principles. Find time for questions and drag the moments in the short notes in the instructions. I’m afraid that the teacher has contact information.
Parenting schedule schedule. Plan a meeting with your son’s teacher at the beginning of the academic year. Explain how a child works with his tech technologies (Office / Implant / Baha / FM) and select the best place for the class with the teacher. Together they can get a special sign when the child does not understand the class, so as not to attract unnecessary attention. This will enable the child to be involved.
Pre-study. Delivering a weekly plan for the child and preparing it at home will enable him to be ready for new information and material.
Be in contact. Make sure you always have access to the teacher by email, phone, if you need any explanation. Especially if the child comes with strange messages at home. For example, my son said that the teacher ordered the school to arrive at 7 o’clock in the morning. We arrived and nothing happened.
Encourage self-confidence.The teacher can be an excellent resource when it comes to encouraging self-defense in the classroom.
Do not be tired. Never meet aggressive teachers. Try to be a “partner” of the school. Share your resources, but do not put a teacher.
Encourage friendships. Encourage relationships with students and encourages lessons. This will help him to be more self-confident lessons. A few weeks ago, a boy hugged my son. He helped a friend. Also, his friends know about the work of the drum machines.
Keep your dialogue. Talk with your child about their day, their feelings, and more. Never worry.
Get rid of it in pride. Encourage you to be open to questions about the apparatus. Everybody does not know what it is and for what.
Do not get over too much. Give your child a chance to be a child. Do not assign the hearing loss to extra attention. Do not let the hearing hurt all your attention. Give your child the opportunity to grow and experience new events
